Windy Hill Beach 

One of the four the beach communities that joined together in 1968 to form the city of North Myrtle Beach is Windy Hill Beach. Windy Hill is an outdoor lover’s dream come true with picturesque beaches, multiple golf course, boating adventures, shopping, dining and some of the best nightlife in the area.  Centrally located at the southern end of North Myrtle Beach close to Myrtle Beach Proper everything is at your fingertips.

What makes Windy Hill Special?

 Barefoot Landing is within walking to distance to most homes in the Windy Hill neighborhood and offers over 100 wonderful shops spread out over 3.5 acres boarding the Intra-costal water way centered by a sparkling lake with walking decks to cross over, a vast array of restaurants from fine dining at Greg Norman’s Australian Grill, delicious Italian at Castano’s Italian Steak house to a quick burger at Johnny Rockets and even a wonderful dinner cruise on the Barefoot Princess. Looking for something fun to do take the kid’s to Alligator Adventure one of the largest reptile zoos in the world, or for a ride on an the Carousel or any of the other rides at Barefoot amusement, have a great time trying to find your way out of the Mirror Maze or take a picture with a tiger cub at T.I.G.E.R.S Preservation station. How about some adult fun go see a show at the Alabama Theater or a concert at the House of Blues there is always something to do and enjoy at Barefoot Landing.

If being active and in the water is more your spice of life you will find a plethora of water activities from the charter boat fishing tours at Reel Action fishing to renting jet skis from Grand Strand Water sports. to some of the best fishing holes on the east coast as well as to see where the dolphins play. 

North Myrtle Beach recently opened its Park & Sports complex with 8 soccer/lacrosse fields, 4 youth baseball/softball fields, 4 high school/college baseball fields and 8 batting tunnels. You can also find the Shake Wake Park where you can jump the ramps and show off your wake boarding skills with its cable pull system no boat is needed. Don’t know how they will teach as well with one of their amazing class. All of the activity making you a little crazy well let it all out over at Go Ape Treetop Adventures, where you can spend hours in the forest canopy pretending to be Tarzan on swings or accomplishing the suspend obstacles and enjoy the breath taking views on your way down the zip line. With all there is to do in North Myrtle Beach it’s a wonder you will ever want to leave but if you do the rest of the Grand Strand is just around the corner. Enjoy a day of shopping at one of the two outlet malls in Myrtle Beach, or Broadway at the Beach. See the fish swim at Ripley’s Aquarium or hang out with your favorite stars at the Hollywood Wax Museum.  Head on down to the Marshwalk in Murrells Inlet and enjoy one of the prime seafood restaurants in the seafood capital of South Carolina. Or take in a stroll in the awe-inspiring Brookgreen Gardens and learn about the local history of Archer an Anna Huntington and the Atalaya Castle. 

It is no surprise the visitors flock to Windy Hill Beach year after year and no wonder they end up staying as a full time or part time residents.
